![]() ![]() So my question is, does The Lost World book differ from the movie so much that it is worth reading? Malcolm is a big part of the movie and he's already dead, so I'm thinking it is a huge difference.Īlso keep in mind, my brain reads books like I'm watching a movie. Grant could have just wanted to see raptor behavior firsthand, but I don't see him selfishly putting other lives in danger to do so. They already explained why counting hatched eggs was pointless earlier in the book. Of course the book has better deaths and I'd love to see the river scene play out live action, but I didn't like Malcolm explaining everything 5+ times, the "mystery" of the amphibian DNA being teased throughout the book, and the whole pointless part of the raptor nest at the end. I didn't hate the book, but felt the movie picked out most of the good parts and added more. ![]() With just completing the first book, I have JP fresh on the mind. ![]()
